A Complete Guide to Brunch in DT New West

Nothing says it's the weekend like brunch, and we've compiled a list of the best brunch in Downtown New West to celebrate hot summer weekends.

 1) ANGELINA'S

1

This quaint & cosy restaurant offers the best variety of French Toast and waffles possible, I don't think there is a single topping that Angelina'shasn't thought of and because of that it usually takes me 20 minutes to decide what I want! Located on the Quay, it's a great location for a much-needed stroll afterwards. My favorite dish is the banana, cinnamon and whipped cream French Toast or The Big Breakfast (pictured above).

2) THE HIDE OUT CAFE

2

Located on Carnarvon Street, The Hide Out Cafe is a great spot to grab bagel sandwiches or breakfast wraps, you will find pretty much anything you could ever want on a bagel in here! What's more? They have a variety of board games to keep you entertained while you brunch.

3) DE DUTCH

4

De Dutch serves the best Pannakoeken; a soft and delicious 12 inch creation with options ranging from Perogie flavored to strawberry and chocolate with chocolate shavings. Anyone know how to say yummy in Dutch?

4) HUB RESTAURANT

5

Who doesn't prefer brunch with a cold pint of craft beer or a Caesar? Hub Restaurant is the perfect place to indulge in a drink with brunch, after all the best cure is the cause. Their Eggs Benny and Morning After Burger are to die for, so there is no reason not to indulge.

5) WALLY'S BURGERS

6

Two of my all-time favourites come together to make one with Wally's Burgers creation: The Brunch Burger. It's the perfect way to get your meat fix on weekend mornings with LOTS of crispy bacon, for only $5.75. I like to go the extra mile and get a milkshake too because life is short and it should be sweet too.

6) HERITAGE GRILL

Heritage Grill has all the brunch options your heart desires, from steak & eggs to French Toast. My favorite is the Breakfast Chorizo Quesadilla, it comes with sundried tomato cream cheese. YUM!

7) THE BOATHOUSE

7

If you're feeling fancy, The Boathouse's brunch options will impress you. Most of their dishes include seafood since that's what they do best. My favorite option is the Crab Cake Benny, the Hollandaise sauce is to die for, and while you're there grab a Mimosa!

8) THE MET BAR & GRILL

With an extensive brunch and beverage menu, you can't wrong eating brunch at The Met Bar & Grill. They put a breakfast spin on poutine and serve it smothered in their house made Hollandaise sauce. Conveniently located steps away from the Columbia Skytrain Station you can get there with minimal effort, we know how hard weekend mornings can be.

9) PADDLEWHEELER PUB

9

Paddlewheeler Pub serves simple breakfast choices such as The Classic Breakfast combination; eggs, ham, hash browns and toast for only $4.95 for all you minimalists out there. To be enjoyed with a view of the Fraser River of course.
