New West Thingery - Soft Launch
Come celebrate the launch of the first ever Thingery! Visitors will be able to see how the system works, the types of equipment we’ll be carrying and register for a membership.
What's a Thingery? (www.thethingery.com)
A Thingery is a community owned lending library of things in a modified shipping container. The containers are self-service, so members can check things in and out at their convenience. A Thingery's inventory is community sourced; meaning that what goes into the container depends on what neighbours donate to it and what they collectively purchase. Potential inventory types include: recreation equipment, kids' toys, woodworking tools, event & entertainment equipment, household appliances and musical instruments.

Come and enjoy great floats and entertainment along historic Columbia Street! Kids can also come into Anvil Centre between 10:00 am – 1:00 pm and write and send their letters to Santa with Canada Post’s holiday helpers.
Make sure to arrive early for a good spot. It’s also always a good idea to bundle up and bring a hot drink to stay warm waiting for St. Nick.

It will allow children and their entire family to explore and embrace the benefits of entrepreneurship from an early age, as well as showcasing their talent and creativity
Giving children the gift of a brighter future
My name is Ramses Padilla and together with my 9 year old son Max and close friends we are producing the Tinypreneurs event.
Initially, Max wanted to make a lemonade stand in order to raise some funds for his next Summer Camp. He also tried to get a local newspaper route delivery among other innovative ideas for his age. In less than a week he had suggested so many businesses ideas to cover the cost of his cause and that really caught my attention.
I suggested him to make an event where not only he, but also his friends and other kids from the school, the neighbours and the community in general can get inspired and join him in the amazing learning experience of earning honest money from their own effort to achieve what they want and/or need. He agreed, and after contacting a couple of good friends the Tinypreneurs project was born.
Visit their market on Saturday Dec 9th from noon to 3pm to support these tinypreneurs and get some holiday shopping done!

Ink & Drink: Christmas Spirit Edition

Paint and Sips are a popular way for all skill levels to get creative while being social. The Craft Cafe a unique twist for you: Ink & Drink - a monthly series where projects will be based on ink.
For the December session, we'll be getting into the Christmas spirit at Wild Rice Bistro with DIY stamp cards and wrapping papers. Participants will have the opportunity to make their own festive coverings and note cards while enjoying some refreshments. So grab some friends (or make some new ones) but be sure to register early as space is limited!
The ticket price covers your materials to participate, a beverage (non-alcoholic options available) and some light refreshments. If you have questions feel free to call us at 604-525-0760. Registration can be done through Eventbrite, by phone, or in person at Craft Cafe.

While Paddlewheeler Cruises don’t have any sales for discounted electronics, they do have their annual Boxing Week “Sail” Lunchtime Cruise on December 27, featuring a relaxing 2.5 hour river cruise aboard their comfortable 100-passenger sternwheeler.
Their chef can prepare a delicious fresh lunch from pour Galley kitchen by Johnny, their famous Chef. So take a relaxing cruise on the scenic Fraser River with family and friends on board the M.V. Native.
