Coldest Night of the Year Walk

Seniors Services Society is the only agency in Metro Vancouver that works exclusively with homeless and at-risk seniors. As such we see firsthand the increasing number of seniors facing housing crisis, and the rise of homelessness among the senior population. Working in partnership with all levels of government, community service organizations and local businesses, we offer a place of safety and support to seniors struggling with poverty, isolation and homelessness within the lower Mainland. In the last year our 3 unique seniors housing programs have delivered: • Individualized Housing Counselling to over 2,000 seniors • One-on-one Housing Outreach to 268 seniors who are homeless or severely at-risk • Temporary Housing to 25 homeless seniors while assisting them with finding permanent housing Together these programs have directly resulted in 65 seniors finding permanent housing, but we can’t do this alone.
