The Home Cabaret brings together an inter-generational group of multidisciplinary artists for one night only on October 13 2017. In alignment with The City of New Westminster Arts Services’ goals, Home Cabaret offers opportunities for performers and community members to experience a diversity of arts and culture activities in our city. As part of the celebration of the anniversary of confederation, the Home Cabaret responds to the growing appetite in New Westminster for a variety of cultural experiences. Dancers, Opera Singers, Circus Performers, Musicians, and Drag Queens grace the stage at the Anvil Centre in a culmination of the rich and various artists that are creatively engaged in making art on the West Coast about home. The event includes a pre-show artist chat, challenging and exciting performances, and a post show social. New Works is honoured to be working with the City of New Westminster to curate this dynamic evening of performance. The Home Cabaret provides an opportunity to connect, laugh and enjoy an evening of shared experience that is as diverse and unique as New Westminster today.
