Breakfast food is the best kind of food, it’s what makes brunch a beautiful thing. Few things can make a weekend more relaxing than a hearty brunch with your bubble. Luckily Downtown New West has some great brunch options.

Angelina’s Dutch Corner

Angelina’s is a great brunch spot located right at the River Market. Its gorgeous patio paired with the beauty of the Fraser River make it the spot. The interior of the restaurant is open and bright, with comfy seating and tables. It’s got a huge selection of options including Pannekoeken or more American style breakfasts. Their Pannekoeken are pretty amazing, and they work really well as a take-out meal. Angelina’s is a popular place but luckily you can enjoy spending time exploring the River Market if you have to wait to get in. So, drop by Angelina’s to satisfy that brunch craving we're all having.

Bruncheria Cafe

Bruncheria is amazing and it’s a Downtown classic for a reason. Their food is big, scrumptious, and reasonably priced. The food is incredibly well balanced, and filled with different textures that blend together beautifully. They use sauce in a subtle way but man, oh man, does it work well. Their wraps will knock you off your feet and fill you for the entire day. They’re stuffed with eggs, cheese, potatoes and a whole lot of other options; the outside is grilled to perfection. These guys have mastered takeout. You can order online through their Bruncheria website, which gives you a 15% discount, and they text you when it's ready, making this the prime place to grab breakfast on your way to work.

Piva Modern Italian

Fried chicken and waffles anyone? Piva is located right next to the Anvil Centre with large glass windows and an elegant interior. They take on a modern twist to traditional Italian cuisine. Panettone French Toast topped with ricotta lemon whipped cream and berries sounds heavenly, doesn't it? Or how about a Piva Poutine? You'll have to go and see what that's about. Dine-in service and take-out are available with brunch being only on Saturday and Sunday mornings from 10:00 am – 2:30 pm. What are you waiting for? Dig in!

De Dutch

De Dutch is located right in the middle of the Columbia Square Plaza, making it an easy place to grab brunch while you do the rest of your shopping. They serve a variety of breakfast options but they are best known for their Dutch Pannekoeken, which are a kind of Dutch pancake. They make a great breakfast when paired with freshly squeezed orange juice. You can get a huge variety of toppings on your Pannekoeken, including chocolate hail which is a delicious Dutch topping.

Want something lighter, a fresh pastry and coffee or tea perhaps? Craft CafeOld Crow Coffee, Columbia Sandwich and Hive Cafe are also some great choices!

Breakfast is truly wonderful and all these places only make it better! So, whether you’re in the mood for bacon and eggs, Pannekoeken or a wrap, drop by any of these Downtown New West brunch spots!
