Our Official 2016 Father's Day Guide

Still searching for the perfect way to celebrate Dad? Stop worrying and start reading…

We’ve all been there. It’s the Saturday before Father’s Day and you’re packed into the gift store in Vancouver trying to find something remotely tied to your dad’s interests. Maybe you’re going for the ‘so bad it’s good’gift, or maybe the classic dad joke mug.

We Ambassadors think it’s time to kick this Father’s Day up a notch. We’ve done all the research and only left you with one thing to do: have the most perfect Father’s Day yet without leaving New West!

Brick and Mortar Living

2

For the well-groomed man, be sure to check out Brick and Mortar Living, on the corner of Carnarvon and Sixth Street. The invigorating scents of their Kalastyle soap are sure to wake Dad up in the morning. In case you missed it, their brand new Volcanic Ash soap with active ash in it is the coolest new gift to hit New West!

If your dad loves the outdoors, he’s bound to find inspiration in the latest edition of the Wilderness Collective magazine (pictured above). You can find it and many more dad-approved gifts at Brick and Mortar!

Urban Man Cave

3

Beer lovers do not go unprovided for at the Urban Man Cave. Their Vintage Beer Handles are a perfect way for dad to show his appreciation for his favourite brew.

For another classic present that never goes out of style, check out the leather bound notebooks in store on Columbia Street.

Pier 2 Landing

5

If you’re looking for something fun to do after handing out gifts, why not head over to Sapperton Landing for the City’s ‘Pier 2 Landing’ event? With live entertainment, fishing and a sizzling barbeque, this afternoon has Dad written all over it. Check out the full line up of exciting activities planned on Front Street, Westminster Pier Park, and Sapperton Landing for Father’s Day only.

Wild Rice

6

If your father is a true beer enthusiast, he’ll salivate over the $4.50 draft beers at Wild Rice. Names like Steel and Oak and Central City are all onspecial on Father’s Day.  And with their infamous Caesars on for $6, Wild Rice is the perfect spot to end your man’s (or old man’s) day.

Whether it’s books, beers or a barbecue, we hope this father’s day guide helps you throw the most amazing day yet for the dadster in your life!

As always,

Meretin Yuspie
