Pride in Downtown New West has been taking place in the month of August for over 10 years and 2021 is no different! Celebrate Pride with us between August 6th-15th, and beyond. You won’t want to miss out!
August 6th
PRIDE CRUISE ON THE PADDLEWHEELER
Want to take a mini cruise with your friends? Or make some new ones? Join the Paddlewheeler Pride cruise. A +19 event, with two floors of fun including disco, music and refreshments!
August 8th
PRIDE WEEK KICK OFF AT BEGBIE’S
Start your Pride week off with $4 beer! Come down to Begbie’s Tavern on the 8th for an inclusive night for you and all your lgbtqia2+ friends and family.
August 9th
Although not technically downtown, it is close! After watching the City of New West declaration and Pride flag raising, why not come downtown to enjoy the atmosphere? We hope to see you there.
NEW WEST PRIDE, DJ HOLLAHOLLY LIVE STREAM

August 10th
PACIFIC BREEZE WINERY WINE SLUSHIES + T-SHIRTS
Though this kicks off on the 10th, it’s actually running all week! Check out New West Pride for all the dates. Stop by Pacific Breeze Winery for some $3 rainbow wine slushies and some Pride Shirts! All proceeds go to New West Pride!
Head over to the Old Spaghetti Factory for Dining Under the Rainbow: Pride Edition! Enjoy great food with old and new friends!
August 11th
Head down to Begbie’s Tavern for some brunch/lunch with fun conversation and amazing people, you won’t want to miss this inclusive social event.
RAINBOW TRIVIA NIGHT AT BEGBIE’S
Begbie’s Tavern is pulling out all the stops this Pride week and you certainly will want to be at Trivia Night! Come on down to enjoy drinks and an lgbtqia2+ trivia night!
August 12th
THIRSTY THURSDAY PRIDE HAPPY HOUR
Head over to Begbie’s Tavern for this Pride themed Happy Hour on Thursday! Spend the evening having drinks with friends and family!
August 13th
BEARS IN THE BURBS: PRIDE EDITION
Bears and Otters welcome! Come on down to this social evening hosted at the Met Bar and Grill this Pride week. Enjoy the patio and friendly faces!
August 14th
Come down to end your Pride week on an excellent note at Begbie’s Tavern, from 2pm until close, with special guest appearances!
