Tuesday, July 21, 2020

Downtown New West has grown its collection of public art over the years and it has some truly amazing pieces.

From the famous W to the Giant Tin Soldier to the brand new We Are One Mural, New West has a lot to be proud of. We have compiled a list of our favorite pieces: can you find them all?

Now, not to brag but this 80 meter (!) mural done by MD Murals was funded by the Downtown New West BIA as part of the #togethernewwest campaign and is the newest and longest mural in Downtown New West. Plus, with the hundreds of hearts on display, healthcare workers can’t help but notice how much they are appreciated during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Downtown New West is home to an abundance of local art, accessible to the public and free to see as you walk down the street. If we forgot any of your favourite pieces, let us know on socials! @downtownnewwest
