The Wine Factory, Make Your Own Wine and Beer!

With a huge variety of both reds, whites, sparkling beverages and even ciders (plus at home brew-making kits), The Wine Factory is a must to prep for the holidays.

First opened Uptown in 1994, Harm Woldring purchased The Wine Factory in 2004 and relocated to its current location at 649 Front Street in April 2011. The "new" 120 year old heritage space is the perfect environment for wine-making: not only is it a trendy space with beautiful exposed brick that compliments the barrels of aging wine on the wall, but it's the perfect amount of space and just the right temperature for the art of wine making.

At The Wine Factory, you make your own wine, so you can feel good about the quality and the price. As an expert wine maker, Harm can help you customize your wine and ensure your product is exactly to your liking. The Wine Factory's wine-making supplies and juices come from the largest wine purveyor so you are literally getting the best juice in the world, shelf-stabilized with concentrate just like many of the best wineries.

Here are the 4 simple steps to wine-making, Wine Factory style:

  1. Pick your juice/wine (over 250 types to choose from)
  2. Wait (the aging process takes 5-8 weeks)
  3. Bottle and package your wine (sanitize, fill, cork, cap, label, presto!)
  4. Enjoy!

Visiting with Harm, we learned some surprising facts that definitely puts his wine on our radar: Unlike other wineries, Harm doesn't use animal by-products to clear his wine, which means all of his products are vegan! His wines also have far fewer chemicals than your typical liquor store wine, making The Wine Factory the best place to get wine in Downtown New West. PLUS you can make ciders and "sparkling beverages" (what the cool kids call Champagne).

The Wine Factory also sells a wide selection of at-home brew-making and wine-making kits including IPAs, Premium Lagers and Pinot Grigios, Gewurztraminer, Merlots, Chardonnays, Cabernets (the list goes on).

Pop by The Wine Factory now to ensure you're stocked up for the holiday season!
