As last year was so popular, we will be having out 2nd annual Christmas party at the Paddlewheeler Pub on Saturday December 1st at 6pm.
Space is limited and you will need to purchase a ticket in advance at Dynamic Health. For only $15 of which 33% will go to Monarch House Shelter, you'll have the choice of a chicken, beef or veggie burger and a beer. You'll each get a complimentary drink on us and dessert. All other items will be billed to you directly.

UN International Day of Persons with Disabilities Film Festival
Sprout is a unique non-profit organization that distributes films made by and/or starring people with intellectual disabilities.
Films for the 2018 festival were selected by the BC Self Advocacy Foundation, a group of leaders with intellectual disabilities who live in communities across BC.

Boston Pizza Fundraiser for Kelsey

Boston Pizza New Westminster will be holding a fundraiser for their beloved General Manager and Franchisee, Kelsey Carignan on Wednesday December 5th.
Kelsey has recently learned that she has breast cancer that has spread into her lymph nodes. Given Kelsey’s age, she has been fast tracked through treatment and we're hopeful that her condition will improve. Kelsey is an amazing manager, community supporter, a phenomenal friend, wife, daughter and mother.
The management team at Boston Pizza New Westminster has decided to put on a fundraiser and all funds will go directly to supporting her husband and two small children while she is off work.
Tickets are $20 each and include an individual pizza, a sleeve of beer, or a 6 ounce glass of our house wine.
Get your tix at the restaurant at Columbia Square Plaza, donations also accepted if you can't attend.

Code Club offers a fun and interactive way for children to build valuable life skills such as logical thinking, teamwork and collaboration skills, as well as engaging them in learning more about the technology they use every day.
We provide easy to follow coding projects which help children learn Scratch, HTML & CSS and Python by making games, animations and websites. The projects gradually introduce coding concepts to allow children to grow their understanding of digital making.
Code Club takes place the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month from 10am til' 12pm.

Dave has performed stand up all over the world, including a tour of the United Kingdom and HBO’s prestigious US Comedy and Arts Festival in Aspen, Colorado. He filmed a stand up special for Comedy Central in New York and his own one hour TV special for the Canadian Comedy Network. Dave was brought on as a writer for CBC’s “This Hour has 22 Minutes” during which time he won a Canadian Comedy Award and a Writer’s Guild of Canada Award. He is also the winner of The Canadian Ministry of Comedy’s Comedian Of The Year Award, The Couille D’Or.
Dave Nystrom lived in Los Angeles for over a decade where he worked with the likes of Robin Williams, Norm MacDonald, Bob Saget, Patton Oswalt, and Harland Williams among others. He has also written for National Lampoon, wrote the special features on the Anniversary Blu-Ray Edition of the cult movie “Office Space”, filmed a pilot for VH1 and has four children who are slowly trying to kill him. In 2016, Dave Nystrom made the move back to Calgary, Alberta.

Christina Walkinshaw is a Canadian stand up comic now living in L.A. Her half hour comedy special often repeats in the middle of the night while you’re sleeping. You’ve seen her on Just For Laughs, The Winnipeg Comedy Festival, and definitely in the liquor store. She’s a regular on CBC’s “The Debaters,” and she also makes (sporadic) appearances in the shower. Check out her very popular blog, “Becoming Poly."
