Meet Alma, a career shoplifter who prefers the “five-finger discount” over any senior citizen’s deal. When a grocery store theft goes awry, her elaborate life of petty crime is halted by an overzealous security guard and his affable mentor. With sharp-witted comic observations, Morris Panych has expertly drawn a cast of misfit characters that will leave you rooting for all sides to come out on top.
Running time: 1 hour 45 minutes, including one intermission

Duo Solisti - Brannon Cho & Yoojin Jang

Cellist Brannon Cho made his Canadian debut recital with VCMS back in 2018, soon after winning a top prize at the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Belgium. A month after, Brannon went on and took the grand prize again from the Paulo International Competition in Helsinki, literally collecting top awards from all the major competitions on the globe.
We are so fortunate to have Brannon on our stage, and the excitement is doubled by the virtuosity of violinist Yoojin Jang.
Yoojin is a top prize winner of International Violin Competition of Indianapolis, Concert Artist Guild’s Competition, Michael Hill International Competition, and Yehudi Menuhin Competition as well as the latest victories at Concert Artist Guild’s Competition and Sendai International Competition.
A not-to-be missed performance as the two young masters combine their virtuosity to take us through mesmerizing concert experience!
