Batik and Beer Workshop

Come on down to Steel and Oak brewery for some beers and design, draw and create your own Batik art piece with a workshop hosted by The Batik Library. Based in Vancouver, The Batik Library are on a mission to connect their local community to the batik technique and share the place it holds in Indonesian culture. The Batik Library will be leading a guided workshop that will introduce you to the batik artform and technique. Batik is a resist wax dyeing technique. You will learn how to use the canting tool and hot wax to produce your own unique design on a blank piece of fabric. Ticket prices are $55.52, see EventBrite page for more information.
