Canada Day Hyack Festival & Fireworks

A Part of Canadian Heritage Since the commencement of confederation on July 1st 1867, fireworks have been a part of the celebration of Canada’s independence. They are a symbol of jubilation and create powerful memories. Continuing a long-standing tradition, the Hyack Festival Association is hosting the Canada Day Fireworks at the Quay in New Westminster on July 1st, 2019. Come early to secure your spot on the boardwalk for this exciting event. This year we have great musical entertainment on the stage, excellent restaurants, a full Hyack Festival's market with vendors and artisans on the boardwalk from noon to 8 pm, and a wonderful space to just hang out. This is definitely the place you will want to be on Canada Day. The fireworks occur at approximately 10 pm and this year there will be an MC, a full countdown before the Fireworks, and entertainment on stage until 11 pm! Be prepared for a dazzling display of pyrotechnics that will light up the sky over the Fraser River. Don't forget to participate in our Photo Contest. Come and take your best shot.
