Eat and Greet with the Candidates

Eat and greet with the mayor and council candidates! The table is unfolding again with the help of Yes In New West (YiNW) to host a mayor and council candidates meeting at the River Market on Friday October 5th @ 7pm. Candidates will have 30 seconds (and not a second longer) on their soap-box to convince you to cast your ballot for them. In between the speeches PopLuckers and candidates will have a chance to break bread together and talk about one of the biggest issues facing our city. HOUSING! To help with the conversation, our friends at Yes In New West are crowdsourcing housing related questions from the community that we’ll display around the market to give the community and candidates a chance to post their answers. Be sure to check them out on Facebook and Twitter (@YesInNewWest) to get your questions in. Bring some food to share (as the market vendors will be closed) on our foldable table and enjoy some lively conversation with your neighbours and candidates! The location is the River Market 3. Cancellations will be indicated before noon the day of the event via email. 4. Please bring your own plate, cutlery, cups and drinks. 5. Each guest or couple is asked to prepare one dish (i.e., appetizer, main or dessert) to be shared. 6. Prepare your dish with the same love and care that you would for your family. 7. We are blessed to live in such a bountiful province and city. Local ingredients and products are encouraged. 8. Food is culture - share yours. 9. Come with friends, but be sure to make new ones. 10. Help keep the city beautiful – keep waste to a minimum and help clean up. See you at the table!
