Join Andy, the musical scientist, in exploring the relationship between music and science. Andy uses homemade instruments and humour to demonstrate technology in music, scientific principles such as sound and recycling. Free for all ages. Two 45-minute sessions at 11am and 1pm. Then head to Anvil Centre for some excellent activities at Family Fundays from 12:00-3:00pm. FOURTH FLOOR Studio 411 12:00–3:00pm We are making and creating all around the theme of Food. Enjoy some of the following drop-in crafts and art projects: Massive Food Colouring Mural All the Fixins’ Taco: Kids Cartoon Project Donut Eat all the Donuts: Kids Cartoon Projects Dilly of a Pickle: Kids Cartoon Projects Printed Food – Create colourful prints using vegetables and fruit Share a Recipe – Write down and illustrate your family’s favourite recipe Pasta Jewellery – A fun craft for all ages, especially the little ones! THIRD FLOOR New Westminster Museum Take a stroll through our newest exhibition, You are What You Eat! Community Food Security. (Museum is open from 10:00am-5:00pm) 12:00–3:00pm Discover kitchen gadgets from the past and present! How many artefacts and multicultural items can you identify? Stories from the past and present in New Westminster help us understand how people eat in our community. THIRD FLOOR New Media Gallery A drop-in arts tech project for the whole family.
