#NewWestFood for Thought: World Food Day Forum

World Food Day is celebrated each year on October 16. Established in 1981, its purpose is to spread awareness about world hunger, poverty, and to inspire change. This year, its call to action is about equal and affordable access to healthy food. In association with New West Museum’s feature exhibition, You Are What You Eat! Community Food Security, and moderated by City Councillor Nakagawa, our food community is coming together to participate in this international discussion and cause. From vital Indigenous perspectives, local food culture, to the social and economic realities of food, our panelists will explore and celebrate our diverse foodscape – past, present, and future. This event is free. Register online via the event's website above or by phone at 604-527-4640
