Paint and Beer Workshop

Come on down to Steel and Oak brewery for some beers and explore the artist within you as you paint with the guidance of local artist, Clarissa Banos. Originally from San Salvador, El Salvador, Clarissa now works from a cozy home studio right here in New Westminster. They produce incredibly colourful artwork that is inspired by their ancestral heritage and have a passion for the magnificent indigenous civilizations of the Ancient Americas. They also pay tribute to the beauty, strength and resilience of indigenous Latin American women through their artwork. Clarissa will be leading a guided workshop that will introduce participants to simple drawing and painting techniques as well as basic colour theory. This will be 2.5 hour workshop that will be a very fun and enjoyable experience, where self expression and artistic exploration becomes far more important than technical proficiency, resulting in a piece that participants feel happy with and proud to bring home!
