Remembrance Day 2022

Honour the service of veterans past and present. Friday, November 11, 2022 City Hall Cenotaph 8:00 - 10:15 am - Wreath pick up, City Hall Front Lawn 10:15 am - Parade Assembly from Queen’s Avenue and Sixth Street 10:30 am - Outdoor Service at the City Hall Cenotaph 2:00 pm - Wreaths transported to Fraser Cemetery for viewing until November 15. Watch the livestream coverage starting at 10:25 am on Facebook or Youtube and TELUS Optik channel 345 (Community Connections) if you are a TELUS customer. SEATING Limited seating will be available on a first come first serve basis for seniors and those with mobility issues. PARKING No on-site parking is available. Attendees are encouraged to take public transit or find alternate means of transportation as parking is limited. Accessible parking will be available along Royal Avenue between Seventh Street and Eighth Street. A drop off zone for people using wheeled mobility devices will be available on Royal Avenue between Seventh Street and Sixth Street but only up to 9:30 am. Both areas can be accessed via Seventh Street at Royal Avenue. ROAD CLOSURES 6:00 am - 1:00 pm Royal Avenue will be closed from McBride Boulevard to Eighth Street. Pattullo Bridge traffic from Royal Ave will be detoured along Eighth Street and Sixth Avenue to access the bridge from McBride Boulevard.
