As the weather warms up and the sun shines, picnics become the perfect way to spend time outdoors. Here’s how to build your own picnic with food and materials found around Downtown New West!

Pier Park

Close to the parkade, with patches of green and several seating options, Pier Park allows visitors to maintain social distancing while finding a comfortable place to picnic.

New West Quay

1- Westminster Pier Park

Near the newly-opened playground, a patch of green and a clear view of the water, the New West Quay is perfect for a family picnic!

Whether it's for brunch, lunch or an early dinner, having a meal outdoors is a staple of fun summertime activities. Here are some examples of places to grab a to-go meal easily.

For those over the age of 19, alcoholic beverages are permitted at Pier Park and other select New West parks between 11:00am and dusk, seven days a week. We ask that you act and drink responsibly if you choose this option.
