Executive Director
Angelene Prakash is the Executive Director of the Downtown New West BIA, where she leads efforts to enhance and promote the downtown core as a vibrant destination for businesses, residents, and visitors. With a strong background in community organizing and advocacy, Angelene brings an equity-focused approach to her role. She has extensive experience in event management and community development and is passionate about fostering inclusive, thriving communities. Angelene also serves on the City of New Westminster’s Arts, Culture & Economic Development Advisory Committee and as Treasurer on the BIABC board. When she's not making downtown awesome, she's on a snack quest!

Jaydee dimmer-drew
Jaydee combines a background in arts, management, and marketing with a passion for community building. Over the past five years, they have focused their efforts on enhancing urban environments, starting by managing the clean team with the Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Association. They later move on to the Placemaking department where and led large-scale events and beautification projects. Currently, as the Events and Marketing Manager for Downtown New West BIA, Jaydee continues to create vibrant experiences and promote local engagement in the community where they live. Their dedication to fostering connections and enhancing public spaces is at the heart of their work, making a lasting impact in the community.
Digital Marketing Coordinator
Maria Ometto
Maria is our Brazilian digital marketing coordinator, dedicated to highlighting our local businesses in Downtown New Westminster on our digital platforms. If she's on her phone, she's probably creating content or checking out trends for inspiration. With a background in marketing and events, she moved to Canada in 2022 to earn her post-degree diploma in Marketing from Douglas College. Now, she is pursuing a Graphic Design certificate at BCIT. She believes that great things happen when diverse perspectives unite and is passionate about connecting with others and exploring the unique stories that make our community shine.
