Uptown Live! hits 6th & 6th Saturday, Jul 23rd and it promises to be one exciting DAYTIME event. Starting at noon, local indie bands will rock four different stages.

But what happens when the stages empty, the crowds clear out and all the entertainment is done for the day…at 9.00pm on a Saturday? Naturally, Downtown New West has the answer.

1) Listen the Colorifics at The Heritage Grill
The Heritage Grill is known for their live music in the heart of downtown New West. So why not continue the music-filled day with a drink (or three). From 8.00 til midnight, the Colorifics take the stage at the Heritage Grill. Listen as they explore a myriad of music styles, eras and cultures in the music they write and perform.

2) Laugh with Kyle Jones at The Columbia
The Columbia, Home of Lafflines Comedy Club, boasts some of the best up-and-coming comedy acts in the area. Kyle Jones, one of Canada’s hardest hitting comics, holds no punches when he hits the stage. Kyle’s witty and edgy style leaves nothing untouched.

3) Enjoy a game of pool at the Met Bar & Grill
After a day of non-stop music acts, what’s better than a chill night playing pool amongst friends? A game of pool PLUS a late night happy hour (from 9pm - 11pm) at the Met Bar & Grill that is!
4) Grab a late-night burger

5) Get messy and fill up on wings at Hops
Hops’ late night happy hour gives you $2 off wings and ribs. So after a full day of uptown live, cheap wings sounds perfect to us.

6) Watch a movie at Landmark Cinemas
Sit back and relax with a good summer blockbuster. Landmark Cinemas has an incredible line-up of must see movies:
