The days are long and hot, which means it's the perfect time to grab some takeout from local restaurants and enjoy the riverside breeze. Here are some great options for take out.


Hyack Sushi

Though sushi is their specialty, Hyack Sushi has a variety of options from deep-fried soft shell crab to prawn tempura. Easily grab a meal and walk over to the boardwalk for a delicious dinner.

Donair Dude


Whether you’re craving a hearty wrap or a bowl of rice, Donair Dude is the place for you! And if you’re vegetarian, worry not because they have falafel wraps, rice bowls and salad bowls. Grab a donair with a friend and head down to the grassy lawn on Pier Park for a perfect lunch.

Spud Shack

They’re known for their poutine, but the spud shack menu has so much more to offer. From burgers to onion rings to their Fish ‘n’ Frites list, you’re bound to find something you like at Spud Shack!

Tre Galli

Tre Galli is the perfect place to go whether you are looking for a meal or just dessert. They have many take-out options from pizzas and paninis, to coffees, pastries and ice cream! Located at River Market, they’re a short walk away from the Waterfront Esplanade. 

Pamola Bakery & Deli 

Also located at River Market, Pamola Bakery offers a long list of options including tacos, quesadillas, tortilla soup, tamales and much more. They also have drinks, bread and pastries available to go along with your take-out meal!


Steel & Oak

A staple in Downtown New West, Steel & Oak is the place to go when looking for the perfect craft beer. With options such as the Royal City Ale and the Red Pilsner, you’ll surely find something to your taste. They also have non-alcoholic options for the little ones if you’re planning a family picnic. 

For those over the age of 19, alcoholic beverages are permitted at Pier Park and other select New West parks between 11:00am and dusk, seven days a week. We ask that you act and drink responsibly if you choose to grab a drink here.
